DNSerrano! My Top 3 YouTube Vids

Alright guys so I'm posting this up because I thought it would be nice for people to see that this is really me, and not someone else that is somehow affiliated with DNSerrano! Sooo, with that being said I am doing this blog post on my top 3 vids so far that people have liked and enjoyed. 2 out of the 3 guest star (LOL) my girlfriend Becca, while the last video update I take a better approach at my vids by finally providing some content. Well I hope you guys like it, and if you just happen to have a YouTube account you can definitely subscribe to me, thumb it up (eww), and tell all your friend about it! As always thank you and enjoy!!

In this video I started my two part Halloween 2010 series with a BANG!...

This one Becca makes more of an appearance and adds flare with a bit of Jamaican accent to the mix.

In this video I get more organized and my jokes are pretty hilarious (ABOUT DAMN TIME SLACKER!) PLUS I introduce the DNSerrano! intro complete with cool lil song and an ever changing phrase

DJ Fresh - Gold Dust Remix

This is a Gold Dust remix by Flux Pavilion, kinda like a very mature audience Dubstep. Hope you guys enjoy it!

We Got That (Gretzky)

Not a newcomer on the scene but he's definitely been in the shadows (well maybe Cam'Rons), Jim Jones has released about two singles this year for his upcoming album entitled CAPO. The 1st of which is Blow My Smoke, is featured in the album. A second single We Got That (Gretzky) is completely promotional. After having breakout success on his third studio album Hustler's P.O.M.E. (Product Of My Environment) he showed fans and haters alike that he could flex his lyrical muscles and provide great East Coast music. While his 4th album Pray IV Reign garnered generally mixed to bad reviews, he has still pushed on teaming up with DJ Webstar for The Rooftop. This, and the reunion of the Dipset label (Cam'Ron, Juelz Santana, and Jim Jones) has fueled him to dish out another serving of what is Jimmy... the CAPO album; soon to be out by December 7th, 2010.

For your hearing pleasure, here is Jim Jones in We Got That (Gretzky) prod. by Lex Luger

Throwback Tuesday Pt.3

2Pac Shakur - California Love! Oh we're getting it in in todays Throwback Tuesday! Enjoy!

Mt. Eden's Dubstep

This track is entitled Sierra Leone. It's very nice and laid back, and it's a change if you like to listen to dubstep. Recently I've been looking more and more into YouTube and other media outlets for dubstep and these guys, Mt. Eden hailing from New Zealand have found a winning combination of using live instruments, vocals, and the always needed dubstep wub wub wub sound. Check them out if you like the track, I believe they are unsigned but independent is always the way to go!

Holster Gun Shirt

These are by a French-Canadian shop, called Rita. It's very interesting, they use one color process on the shirt and make it out of vectors and come out with one image. Check out this shirt. Make sure not to wear it to the airport/club spot though! Shipped to the US from Canada is about $12 dollars, making this shirt a good $50 something dollars. Expensive, but you pay for great quality.

Stunnaman Legendary Mixtape

Another one from the West Coast, this time it's Stunnaman from The Pack with his latest mixtape entitled Legendary, check out the intro track, along with two other party/club songs on the mixtape.

Feelin' Myself!

Nipsey Hussle, one of the newest MC's to hit the music scene and shake up L.A. hip-hop, has just dropped a banger of a club song. Feelin' Myself featuring Lloyd came out last month (September) and it's making it's way through the channels. If you don't know who Nipsey is, he could be considered a younger version of Snoop by the way his looks and demeanor go, but he is far from him. Growing up in Slaunson, in the City of Crenshaw, Nipsey like in most rappers situation was in and out of jail. Being in the Rollin' 60's Crip gang didn't make it better but he soon found out that a good way of making money might just be by telling stories of his life, what has affected him most, and how to get out of poverty and make it in life by the use of his last name. Hussle. Check out his mixtapes and his forthcoming album South Central State of Mind dropping December 21st!

Black and Yellow!

The pittsburgh pirate, Wiz Khalifa, delivers a new hit with a track called "Black and Yellow" now out on iTunes and other music sites. This song is definitely more hype than his last few (see This Plane and Name on a Cloud) and the lyrics and chorus are catchy, very well versed for a guy who is still pretty unknown to the mainstream masses. Check out his mixtape Burn After Rolling and his 2nd album Deal or No Deal for more of his music. Thus far he is one of the many new school cats who can rhyme very well while keeping all eyes on him. Let's see what the future has in store!

Fred Flintstone Takes A Sh!t

My pops bought this today, it's hilarious!

Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy

It's Over, so says Styles P!

Veteran rapper and D Block/ Ruff Ryder artist Styles P had released a mixtape a while back called "The Ghost Dub-Dime". I'll tell you what it flew right past me these last few months that I JUST caught the smoke trail (no pun intended, lol!) from it. Like always, the Phantom always delivers when it comes to his hip hop. The music is fresh, picked from various up and coming producers such as: Tyler Woods, Street Radio, Don Joe, and Ceasar Prods. Now unlike his other mixtapes in the last year or so, this one has about 2 guest appearances. The bulk of the project is all him. If you're into NY Gangsta/Real Talk Rap and you liked his guest bit in Rick Ross' latest single "Blowin Money", you should def pick this up! Plus it's a mixtape so yeah, 9 times out of 10 it just might be free!!

Here's something just in case you wanted a digital copy. Enjoy!

WINTERS MY SUMMER

Check out the brand-spankin' new single from rapper Sean Mims aka MIMS, entitled "Winters My Summer". He might be a one-hit wonder with "This is Why I'm Hot" but he's going for two on this one.

RATATAT LP4!

Man this album ALMOST slipped through my fingers since I have not heard anything from them since KiD CuDi's Man on the Moon album. Since they were only featured on a couple songs I figured they might have been cooking something up for the masses pretty soon. Well to get it poppin' the album starts off with a bang, as the first track basically lays down the awesome mood for the album. I got the album a couple of days ago and it doesn't dissappoint. Definitely something to look into if you like MGMT, MSTRKRFT, or those type of guitar/electronic bands. Anyway the video is below, check it out and tell me what you think about it. Definitely got some vuvuzela action going on at the start haha! Enjoy it guys and go grab the album/support!

TOP 5 HIP HOP INSTRUMENTALS TO RIP!

Alright so I'm an avid hip hop afficionado. I listen to it more than any other genre. It seems to me that in new hip hop the production values have gone waaaay up and the artists lyrics have turn from imaginative wordplay into lil kid lullabys. So I give you 5 of the most nicest instrumentals of 2009-10 and if you can spit hotness hey go ahead why not do a video of you freestyling it or recording over it. Here we go (in no particular order):

1. Chris Brown ft Tyga - Holla At Me

2. Yo Gotti - Women Lie, Men Lie

3. Gucci Mane ft OJ Da Juiceman - Gingerbread Man

4. Lloyd Banks ft Juelz Santana - Beamer, Benz, or Bentley

5. T.I. - I'm Back

Line Art by Elias Chatzoudis

This right here is just pretty awesome. With my new computer coming somewhere in the horizon I wish to do this kind of line art or be as good. This is Elias Chatzoudis, a Greek graphic artist who is incredibly talented and can make pin up girls, figures, and very awesomely detailed bodies. Check out this one video out of his many showing a time lapsed look at how he does what he does. Notice he draws them first, scans the pictures then used illustrator to create the lines. Photoshop comes in afterwards to be able to add the colors and gradients to the image. Very nice indeed! Check out his you tube page as well:

Dance The Way I FEEL!

So I was watching this DJ show on uStream tonight all the way from UK, and he had some interesting tracks. This one is from Ou Est Le Swimming Pool entitled Dance the way I feel. It has an awesome potential to be a Hip Hop track. I would jump on the chance to remix it if I had the right tool. Anyway check it out and big thanks to DJ Nigel via uStream for his great music selection

PS one of the band members loos like Bam Margera or is it just me? You'll know who it is once you see it, LMAO!!

Wu-Tang KB's Pollen: The Swarm Part 3

Damn. I mean it dropped but I should have never doubted the Wu to begin with. This album, in it's entirety is straight fire. I mean this is awesome. The sounds are great, the lyrics and flows are there and they are on point. It's a fantastic effort by the Wu and the Killa Bees. Of course there are some tracks that stand out the most. I'm posting up the YouTube vids for it right now. I mean, for those who doubt whether real hip hop is back. The type of hip hop that has meaning, great production, and lyrical content. Look no further to one of the originators of the NY rap game. OH! and they are stepping their game up with merch as well so be on the lookout for Wu shirts, shoes, all that good stuff!

Roll With Killer Bees

One of My Fav Gorillaz Song

Gorillaz is fake. Seriously they are a digital group. There is probably one real guy in there that sings, and the rest are just animated to characters. Nonetheless, this is still very cool to see. Specially in their new album which came out earlier this year. Plastic Beach is a great effort made to sound more pop than anything. It's has various people on the track, including Mos Def and Snoop Dogg. Though you think, "Damn, not this nigga again" it actually works pretty good and makes the album more well rounded instead of being detrimental. Check out Empire Ants featuring the lead singer from Little Dragon. It's slow to start but it doesn't disappoint.

Line Art by Anya Uribe

I've been following this artist on DeviantArt. She's very cool when it comes to making toons, they almost remind me of coloring books from when I was a kid. Thick strokes and lots of space to color in. Here's an example of what I mean:

Very awesome line work indeed. You can find out more about this artist by visiting their DeviantArt page at:

Have fun and enjoy!

Chip Tha Ripper - The Cleveland Show

1st introduced by Kid Cudi through various mixtapes, Chip the Ripper is prob the number 2 main dude in Cleveland doing it. He has dropped many mixtapes on the circuit and his current one is entitled The Cleveland Show (Logo taken from the actual family guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show). I personally liked the mixtape before it but this one has a couple of tracks that stand out of the crowd. His lyrical skills are still developing, sometimes is flow of words with the music is incredible, and at others it looks like he lacks on what he wanted to say. Overall a good mixtape, better than about 75 percent of the garbage out. Check it out you can probably get it from Slabup.com or Torrents.

Online Dating

Alright so this might be a long as post but whatever. I'm in the dating scene you know. One thing I always manage to find in a lot of these online dating websites, specially the free ones, there's always a handful of bitches (I don't mean women) to make you look like a douche. You say hey what's up, they say hi, you start to talk, then they block you. I mean I know I'm not the most handsomest looking dude on the planet but it seems to me like a lot of people that are dating online have their minds set on perfectionism. They have an ideal man in body, mind, and personality. So when you say one thing you get axed. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I'm not a picky person I mean thick or skinny, it doesn't matter as long as we got a connection... but it's hard to connect when you can't even dial up. (56k joke FAIL hahaha). Anyway here's a list of free dating sites I've found to be alright. I don't get too many hits but here and there. Imagine how women must feel with the amount of assholes out there looking for a f*ck! LMAO, enjoy!

Papoose Pap-Oose!

I was listening to 1.5 Million Dollar Man mixtape from Papoose so I decided to post this 2006 sleeperhit. What chu know bout this?!?! LMAO

BTW Happy Jackson Day

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

Some might love him, some might hate him, but we will definitely remember Michael Jackson as the King of Pop. Today we remember him, as his 1 year anniversary since his death in June 25th, 2009. Me, personally I have always enjoyed his music. Being an 80's child you sort of gotta pay respect to him for doing what he accomplished. Too bad the younger generations won't know shit in ten or 20 years. Whether making hit tracks or touching boys sacks. Do like Mike said and, "don't stop til you get enough!" Hahaha, man I'm gonna burn in hell

Ratatat - Wildcat

An oldie but goodie, here is the Brooklyn duo's song entitled "Wildcat". Quick fact, Ratatat actually never was a band. They we just two guys in an apartment who did some music on the side apart from their day jobs. One day a record scout went to their MySpace page and fell in love with the music so much so that they decided to make it official and then got signed. See, sometimes you could be holding talent that you never even knew was in you. You could be doing something unique in the eyes of others but it feels like a regular day at the office. Pretty insane if you ask me, but much love to them. Check them out and enjoy!

TRANCE WEDNESDAYS!

No, not really. Well it's not an "official" thing but hey. Some people like hip hop on wednesdays, I like trance on weds. LMAO who am I lying to, I listen to it admirably. Anyway, for those who are in the need to know, check out my boy Nathan Profitt. He's a DJ/Electro/Trance producers from around where I live (about 5 miles away!). His debut album is called Digital Existence and it's off the chain. He's also done a couple of mixtapes but hey, check him out:

Street Fighter Gaga

Check this out haha, pretty awesome right??? It's Lady Gaga as if she were a character in Street Fighter 4. This is one of the coolest things I've seen so far, very nicely done by an "unknown" artist. Hopefully he'll show up in DeviantArt or something. Image was found over at Kotaku if anyone wants to see it. Either that or you can click it and Save-As over from this image to the right. Enjoy!!

Justice D.A.N.C.E. Shirts

Ok so I'm a seeker of sorts for awesome mind blowing shirts. It can be as simple as a little graphic or something extremely elegant that shows as a masterpience on cotton. So while I was looking around YouTube like I usually do I discovered this one video by Justice for their DANCE remix. All the shirts used, while they are on there digitally, are pretty awesome. I think the video speaks for itself! Watch and enjoy peeps

Red Dead Redemption DarksydePhil Style

Alright well if you didn't know, DarksydePhil aka DSP is a known Street Fighter Tournament player from the East Coast. Though his forte is SF, he also does playthrough videos of games. Meaning he plays them from start to finish with hilarious commentary. I enjoy them, they're pretty hilarious. Well in this occasion after he beat RDR he decided he wanted to do all the achievements for them. With the help of his commentary sidekick, "John Rambo" here's DSP's take on the suicide achievement on RDR.

Lupe Fiasco

LASERS is coming soon! I can't wait, so far there will be there different albums LASERS being the first, then a second and a final one coming out after it (LupE.N.D). Lupe himself said it would be his last. Maybe he's fed up with the way the music industry is laid out...or maybe it's because it's the final album from his contract. Who knows, but expect more from Chicago's westsider Lupe Fiasco.
Check out the vector I made for him, hopefully he was able to use it. One thing I have to tell people as well. Don't be afraid to call up record companies in order to get your work out there. Even if it's something free you want to give. Use whatever you can to gain exposure. I'm not telling you to blackmail people now or find some dirt in order to get your stuff out but always try hard to get your music, videos, artwork whatever it might be, out there!

Trap or Die II - Young Jeezy

Check out the track "Grape" by Young Jeezy off his new mixtape and precursor to Thug Motivation 103, "Trap or Die II"

The whole mixtape is pretty nice. I usually don't listen to Down South music but Jeezy as well as some others have the exclusive exception. Enjoy!
